Pre-Treatment Steps for Customers

Laundering Bedding & Clothing

Wash all launderable items such as bedding, clothing, linens, and curtains in the highest water temperature allowed. Use the highest heat setting for drying to eliminate all life stages of bed bugs, including eggs. Seal clean items in new plastic bags for treatment after our service is completed.

Decluttering Spaces

Remove belongings like shoes, toys, books, and personal effects from rooms to be steam treated. Place them in plastic storage containers or contractor bags with a ‘no-pest strip.’ Detach items from walls, including headboards, and decorations. Larger items can be left in the center of the room for inspection and necessary treatment.

Thorough Vacuuming

Vacuum all flooring, including hardwood, carpets, and area rugs, using crack and crevice attachments around baseboards. Vacuum mattresses, box springs, furniture, and cushions, including undersides. Seal vacuum contents in double plastic bags and discard outside.

Pet & Animal Considerations

During and after treatment, remove pets like birds, cats, and dogs from the home for at least 1-2 hours or until the applied chemical has dried. Cover reptile and fish habitats with plastic if they can’t be relocated.
